Chinese Tang Dynasty Phoenix Dance Costume During the reign of Emperor Xuanzong in China's Tang Dynasty, a dance called "Phoenix Dance" was popular in the royal court.

The costume for this dance was very luxurious and consisted of a long robe and a belt.

The long robe was red and yellow in color, with phoenix patterns embroidered on it.

The belt was purple and also had phoenix patterns embroidered on it.
